The Symposium on the "The 13 Stone Gate Treasures"
The "13 Stone Gate Treasures", which are preserved in Hanzhong Museum, are valuable and multi-faceted historical and cultural relics that have been studied and disseminated broadly for many years. They include the cliff engravings of the "Opening of the Baoxie Road" by Chu Jun, the "Stone Gate Ode" and "Records of Yang Huai" from the Eastern Han period, as well as the "Stone Gate Inscription" from the Northern Wei period. These relics provide fine examples of literature from the Han to Northern Wei periods. The Symposium on the "13 Stone Gate Treasures" is being organised to be near November 18, which is the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Hanzhong Museum. The symposium has the support of the Hanzhong City Government. We extend a heartfelt invitation to all leading researchers in ancient stone engravings and cliff inscriptions to attend.
Scheduled for 3 days around 18 November 2008.

Please use Word format for papers and submit them by October 1. The papers will be published as a collection after the Symposium. The selected papers will also be included in the Hanzhong Museum's regular publication "Stone Gate - Research into Hanzhong's Cultural Heritage".

中国 石门十三品 学术研讨会通知
先生：
珍藏在汉中市博物馆的 石门汉魏十三品 ，以其多晶体的价值，数百年来不断研究、传扬，其中东汉《鄐君开通褒斜道》、《石门颂》、《杨淮表纪》，北魏《石门铭》等摩崖，更是被奉为汉魏艺术佳作。为此，在2008年11月18日汉中市博物馆迎来五十华诞之际，拟由汉中市人民政府主办、汉中市博物馆承办 中国石门十三品学术研讨会 。素仰先生在石刻研究方面向有造诣，恳请先生能惠赐宏文大作并莅临会议。现将有关事项函告如下：

拟定于11月18日前后，会期3天。
二， 会议主题
1.石门汉魏十三品研究
2.石门石刻研究
3.汉宋时期石刻研究
4.古代摩崖研究
论文请用Word形式，截稿日期为10月1日。会后将出版论文集，优秀论文将选入汉中市博物馆馆刊《石门 汉中文化遗产研究》之中。
